Who is the Site Council?
The Site Council is a legally mandated group that represents the teachers, administration, and parents of a school.
Responsibilities of the Site Council?
The Council is a planning and monitoring committee; The main monitoring tool is the school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), which is a state required plan that is the basis for all use of Categorical Program Money. The main components of the SPSA are :
- Student Data
- What to do to Improve Student Achievement (Goals and Objectives)
- How to Pay for Activities (Budget)
- How do we know we did it (Assessment)
