Update for Wednesday August 26

It was another good day for West Side students, despite the smoke!  We're glad to see warnings being lifted and appreciate all the communication from our local officials, and the amazing efforts in fighting the fire.  Our thoughts are with all those who have been directly impacted, but particularly want to send hugs to those West Side families who have lost their homes in the last week.

Just a reminder that school is in session!  Distance Learning means engagement and learning from home.  Thank you for supporting your students to participate and complete assignments.  This is a challenging opportunity for all of us with new technology and with not being face-to-face on campus, but sometimes a simple computer reset or quick run around the block does the trick. Thank you for your patience and perseverance.  You're doing great!

An update to those who are in need of Free/Reduced lunch:  Starting Wednesday, August 26, lunches will need to be picked up by a parent from the cafeteria at Healdsburg Elementary School between 9:00am and 11:30am.  Fortunately the West Side class schedules include a break from 10:15am to 10:45am so families are free to use that time to pick up.  Please coordinate with those who live near you as an adult may pick up for multiple students.  To order lunches, parents should continue to email [email protected] before 8:00am.

SCOE's mental health team has curated a range of resources to support families, students, and educators during the wildfires and other crises our community faces. Access these resources at scoe.org/traumahelp.

Stay safe and please don't hesitate to email your teacher, [email protected], or [email protected] with questions or concerns.  With the school under evacuation, no one is at the school to receive phone calls.
