Dear West Side Families,
On behalf of the Felta Education Foundation, thank you from our full hearts for helping make our second annual Uncorked fundraiser, held on April 18 at Bishop’s Ranch, such a meaningful evening for our school community.
What made the evening truly unforgettable was the energy in the room. Uncorked brought together school families, teachers, staff, local businesses, alumni, grandparents, friends, and community members in a way that beautifully embodied the heart of the West Side community. The generosity, excitement, laughter, teamwork, and genuine support for our children created something that felt incredibly special and uniquely “West Side.”
Because of this incredible collaborative effort, we not only met our Uncorked fundraising goal of $60,000— we exceeded it, raising a net total of $75,000 for our West Side students and their school programs.
These funds will directly support the enrichment opportunities that help make a West Side education so exceptional. Through FEF, we fund programs including art, garden, music, physical education, outdoor education, field trips, life skills, and so much more. Together, we are working to ensure each West Side student receives the kind of education every child deserves, one rich in creativity, hands-on learning, problem-solving, connection, and access to opportunities that inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Whether you attended the event, helped plan behind the scenes, decorated or set up the event space, contributed to a classroom project, donated an auction item, sponsored the event, served as a beverage partner, volunteered your time, prepared food, helped fundraise, purchased auction items, or simply supported and encouraged our efforts along the way — please know how deeply appreciated you are. Events like this truly take an entire village working together, and we are so grateful for every contribution, big and small.
We would like to give an extra special shout out to our incredible Uncorked planning and auction teams for the tremendous amount of time, energy, creativity, and heart they poured into bringing this event to life. From months of planning and coordinating to gathering donations, organizing auction items, decorating, troubleshooting, and making sure every detail came together so beautifully — your dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed. This event simply would not have been possible without you.
We would also love to encourage our families to take a moment to review our sponsor, donor and community partner lists and support these businesses whenever possible. Their generosity and investment in our children’s education are not taken for granted and supporting them in return is one meaningful way we can continue building strong community partnerships.
Thank you again for believing in our West Side students, our school, and our shared mission. We are incredibly proud of what this community accomplished together and excited for all the enrichment opportunities these funds will help provide for our children in the upcoming school year.
With gratitude,
The Felta Education Foundation
