Second grade will be performing their play this Friday. The two plays were based on versions of Cinderella that Grayson and Hunter wrote. Way to go, second grade!

It has been a fun few weeks for the arts program at West Side! K-5th started hip hop dance class with teachers from Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, and 6th started their swing dance workshop with Mr. Greenwald! In visual arts we did paper marbling and painting in the rain, and 6th grade is hard at work on the yearbook covers and illustrations. 4th-6th had a great time playing theater games with Ms. Asherah and Ms. Jessica, such as dance telephone and miming with a spirited game of charades! Next up: the Young Artists show at Little Saint, and an all-school puppet parade for Earth Day!

In the Garden: 4th Grade has begun a weekly nature/garden journal. This week's entry includes documenting their activity of planting milkweed for monarch butterflies.
