Veteran's Day-No School

Did you know? Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and Nov. 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938.

Thanksgiving Holiday

November 19-November 23 school will not be in session for the Thanksgiving holiday. We are thankful for our amazing West Side community!

Third Grade Field Trip to Pepperwood Preserve

Pepperwood’s SCENIQ program empowers elementary school students to become scientists and practice discovery skills, learn to support their ideas with evidence, and gain knowledge of our local environment.

Through a year-long, nine hour program that includes visits to Pepperwood in the fall and spring and a school-based lesson in the winter, classes participate in hands-on grade-level specific activities. Students record written and visual observations in creative bilingual nature journals. All families of students participating in SCENIQ are connected to further outdoor experiences at Pepperwood and elsewhere through bilingual events and outings.

Early Dismissal

Just a reminder that November 14-16th are minimum days with dismissal at noon.
