FEF NEWS

Thank you everyone for an incredible year and helping FEF raise money to go towards all of the wonderful enrichment programs. Even though we raised over $70,000 we are still shy of reaching our goal. Please consider making monthly donations next year to help us reach the total. Hope everyone has a great summer!

Visual Art with Ms. Jessica

In visual art we finished off the year sewing sketch books for the summer, screen printing shirts with 6th grade, and doing a sculpture treasure hunt exchange with kindergarten and 5th grade. AND!! Miss Asherah and Ms. Jessica sent in the manuscript for the Peptoc book! It will be published by Andrews McMeel/ Simon & Schuster next May. What a great way to honor our kids!

Spark Creativity Studio in Windsor has awesome summer programs that include Music, STEM, Visual Arts & Storytelling with a “learn by doing” approach.

Spark Creativity Studio in Windsor has awesome summer programs that include Music, STEM, Visual Arts & Storytelling with a “learn by doing” approach. We aim to provide a fun, safe environment that creates smiles, AHA moments & uplifting social interactions. Weekly programs are curated for peer groups with varying themes. We hope to see you this summer! Please see flyer!

Note for Parents: the themed programs available for 6th-8th graders also have a track for high school students. If you can kindly spread the word, it would be greatly appreciated! Also, we look forward to the possibility of having your kiddos in our summer programs too! :)

FFA Parade! Come join us.

It’s that time! The Future Farmers Country Fair and Twilight Parade are this week! Not only is West Side School in the parade, FEF has a booth! Please come play games, buy kettle corn from us or even sign up to work a couple hours! All proceeds go to our children’s enrichment programs! Please see the included volunteer sign up sheet! We can always use the help.

In the Garden!

So much blooming in the garden, but lets talk baby chicks! Added two this week to the flock. Both were born in Kindergarden. The yellow chick is Peckorino and we are still working on the name for the other wee one. To keep them calm in their new digs, third graders read to the little ones, who especially enjoyed the book of jokes.
