The City of Healdsburg is offering Children's Orchestra and Choir classes this season. Below are flyers describing each class offered and the age groups covered. We have enjoyed teaching students from Westside School in our last season and look forward to working with them again.

Important After School Pick Up Requests
We need your help with the flow of traffic at pick up each afternoon:
-Please keep the striped student loading zone clear.
-Have car seats on the right side for easy student loading. If you need to get out of your car, please park to avoid holding up the traffic behind you.
-If you are picking up siblings in upper grade classes (4th-6th), please arrive at 2:50 instead of 2:40. We will keep your younger children with our staff while they wait for their upper grade siblings. This way you won't have to wait in line from 2:40-2:50. Also, by not coming too early, the lower grade pick up line for students not waiting for siblings will go faster!!
REMINDER: Curriculum Night is on September 4th. Meet your child’s teacher, see the classroom, and hear what your student is learning this year! Curriculum Night Invitation
Garden News: Volunteers have been SUPER supportive with transplanting, moving, fixing, watering and propagating in the school garden. Many thanks for pulling together as a strong community!
Although garden time won't look the same for awhile, we are making the best of it. See pics below! Flowers, chickens, harvesting, reading in the tree, and of course, Coco.
Staff News
Sadly, Ms. Carrie has resigned from her Assistant Business Manager position. We are grateful for the two years she spent at West Side and appreciate the support she gave all of us. Though we will miss Carrie, we wish her the very best in her future endeavors.

Volunteering at West Side
We are very grateful to all of our volunteers who provide valuable support for our teachers and students.
All Volunteers & Chaperones need to be cleared prior to volunteering, this includes riding on the bus and meeting the class at the field trip location. Once you have been cleared, you will receive an email notification. If you have questions, please email [email protected].
If you are a NEW volunteer this school year please review all of this information - 2025-26 Volunteer Process - and complete the necessary paperwork to submit to the school office:
As a new volunteer, you will also need:
- To Attend Volunteer Orientation (virtual)

Another opportunity to receive the Orientation information will be the next morning during the fingerprinting service in Phoenix Hall, if you’ll already be there.
2. A Cleared Fingerprint Report:

- Complete and bring a Request for Live Scan Service (Fingerprint Clearance) form
- AND bring your ID

If you are continuing as a volunteer this year, thank you!
Please make sure your information is current:
- Driver's license has not expired
- For 3rd-6th grade - car insurance is current and you have the needed coverage to drive on field trips (updated Auto Declaration Policy)
- Updated vehicle information, if any changes.
