Love some good news!
Rotary funded the purchase of 3 sturdy tables to go behind 4-5-6. The handy and gracious Derrico family put them together.
One of our first "garden" projects will be to sheet mulch the area behind each class, add chips (sadly, one of the redwoods is dying and needs to be removed- but will provide the chips) and presto - the upper grades will have nice outdoor work areas.
Looks like the idea of a permanent pergola or awning may have to wait until after the bond project is done, but at least there will be nice tables for now. I'll be on the lookout for some temporary awnings to provide shade.
